Aromatics: Hazelnuts, green apple and white fruits with fresh oxidative characters.
Palate: Generously textured yet balanced and fresh. A very approachable and vibrant Jura Chardonnay, plenty of complexity for this entry level cuvee from the Domaine. Packed with minerality, intensity of flavour and saline finish.
About the wine: A Jura Chardonnay beautifully aged in barrel with oxidative characters. Ageing 1 year in oak foudre were the wine is topped up. Then in 230 litre oak barrels, as well as 600 litre demi muid for 2-3 years under flor, not topped up.
When to drink: Now or in the next 10 years after vintage.
Service: Serving temperature 10 degrees Celsius, decant for few minutes if you can or simply use large Burgundy glass.
Food match: Comté! Otherwise fish quenelle, roasted white fish, chicken curry or roasted lobster.
